Instructions for translators

If you're interested in translating to your language, go ahead and add some suggestions. We also have a translators channel in the support server where you can talk with other translators, just ask for the translators role.

Translation process
  • Translations can be made directly.
  • Translation suggestions can be made.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses monolingual files.
  • The translation base language can not be edited.

1. Right click or long press on the message to edit, then select "Copy Message Link".
2. In Discohook, scroll down to the bottom of the website. Click the "Set Link" button. Paste the copied message link in the box.
3. Select the webhook that sent the message or add it in the "Add Webhook" menu. If you're not logged in, you may have to copy the webhook URL using Discohook Utils's </webhook info:1> command.
4. If you would like to overwrite the current message that you see in the editor, choose "Overwrite Editor". This will pull the message data from Discord and put it into Discohook so you can edit it. Otherwise, choose "Set Message Link".

To send a message, you must first create a webhook. You can get one using the [Discohook Utils bot](https://discohook.app/bot) with the **/webhook create** command, or you can create one manually in the channel settings.

If you create one with the bot, just press the "Use Webhook" button to open Discohook. If you created it manually, copy the Webhook URL and paste it in the "input a webhook URL manually" part of the Add Webhook menu, at the top of the Discohook editor.

To create a reaction role, [invite the Discohook Utils bot](https://discohook.app/bot) use the **/reaction-role create** command.

It expects you put in a message link to the message you want the reaction role on, the emoji you want to use, and the role you want it to give.

Once the command is run, the reaction role should be functioning, though you may have issues with permissions. To make sure reaction roles work in your server you can verify the setup using **/reaction-role verify**.
